Our Story

“Bandh Darwaza began with an unexpected discovery.

For years, one of the minds behind the bar never drank alcohol. Cocktails, he assumed, were either too bitter or too sweet. Then one evening a friend mixed something different — mezcal, fresh orange, cinnamon, and agave.

Balanced. Bright. Unexpected.

Curiosity followed. Years of experimentation came next — countless attempts, a few breakthroughs, and eventually cocktails layered with Indian spices, fresh ingredients, and thoughtful craft.

When the idea was shared over a casual happy hour, a simple thought emerged:
